Mary LeRoy

Mary Esther LeRoy of Columbus, OH went home to be with the Lord December 30, 2016 at Darby Glenn Nursing and Rehab Center in Hilliard, OH. Born September 9, 1926 in Columbus, Ohio she was a 1944 graduate of West High school. She was a long time active member of the Westgate Friends Church in Columbus, Ohio where she willingly served in many capacities and enjoyed singing in the choir. She was a housewife, Tupperware sales representative, and avid baker. Retired to Venice, FL for approximately 18 years where she was active with both Sarasota Friends Church and Christ Methodist Church in Venice. She moved back to Columbus 4 years ago to be closer to family. Preceded in death by husband of 55 years, George R. LeRoy, Parents John E. and Florence Glass, Brothers Harold Wendell and James Ronald Glass and sister Eleanor Reese. Survived by three sons Tom (Cindy) of Tulsa, Ok, Ron (Mindy) of Hilliard, Ohio, Steve (Rhonda) of Hilliard, Ohio, Six Granddaughters Melissa (Jim) Slusser, Michelle (Jeff) Green, Amy (Kevin) Knecht, Chelsea (Brian) Pennington, Sarah LeRoy, & Maggie LeRoy, One Grandson TC (Brandie)LeRoy. Six Great Grandsons Kamron Slusser, Spencer Green, Tyler Green, Ethan Green, Colin Green, Caiden Green, & one on the way Baby Pennington. Great granddaughter Lindsey Slusser, & one on the way Baby Green. One Brother John Glass and many nieces & nephews. Special acknowledgement to her special niece, Cheri Schmidt who was always there for her while living in Florida and to Jamie who went above and beyond as companion care for the past year. There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday January 7, 2017 at 2:00 at Tidd Funeral Home 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard OH 43026, with time for visitation immediately following.
