It is with deep and heavy sadness that we announce the death of Matthew Edward Goyak who passed away on Friday, November 13, 2015 at Doctors West Hospital after a long battle with cancer. Matthew was born March 1,1940 in Columbus, Ohio to Matt and Mildred Goyak. On June 19, 1959 he married Janet Louise Angus. Together, they had 5 daughters; Julie, Jane, Mary, Tammy and Holly.
Matthew is survived by his 5 daughters and 14 grandchldren; Pamela, Johnny, Brandon, Alex, Chris, Brittany, Samantha, Kenny, Annie, Maggie, Timmy, Douglas, Amanda and he joins granddaughter Sarah and grandson Johnny Ray Jr. in Heaven.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at St. Margaret of Cortona Catholic Church, 1600 N. Hague Ave Columbus, OH 43204 "When someone you love becomes a memory, then memories become treasures."
Procession to Alton Cemetery after service followed by bereavement gathering at St. Stevens the Martyr, 4131 Clime Rd Columbus, OH.
