Maude and Peter Campbell

Almost 60 years ago Maude & Peter Campbell met and married within 3 months in Norton, Virginia. It is with such sadness, yet such joy that God has decided to take them together to be in Heaven. They brought into this world six children, 13 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren. Maude Campbell, 80 passed from this life on December 16, 2007 following a sudden illness at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on April 13, 1927 in Norton, Virginia. She was a devoted Mother of Six children, 13 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren. She was an Eastern Star, Chapter #226, Petersburg, Michigan. Preceded in death by parents, Dave and Bessie Orender, Norton, Virginia; her sister Wanda Schell of Kingsport, Tennessee, Brothers Silas, Ray and Billy Orender, all of Norton, Virginia and Great-Grandson, Gavin Siegel. Survived by sister Ruth Ann and Brother Robert all of Columbus, Ohio. Husband, Peter, 82; followed her in death on December 20th after a short stay at Kobacker House, Columbus, Ohio. The earthly angels of Kobacker House helped carry him into Heaven to be with her. Their Love Taught all those around them how to Love. Preceded in death by his parents, Olie and Charlotte Campbell, of Charleston, West Virginia; Siblings John of Hartford, Ky., Sisters Eloise, and Zenith of Charleston, West Virginia. Retired from Detroit Edison Power in Monroe, Michigan, longtime employee of Westinghouse in Columbus, Ohio. Member of V.F.W, Eastern Star and Free & Accepted Masons-Monroe, Michigan. Survived by Children, Glen (Carol) Campbell, Lyn (Carolyn) Campbell, Judi (Gary) Rohrer, Joella (George) Tester, Joyce (Jack) Haines and Janet (Bill) Breneman. Grandchildren; Chad (Jodi) Campbell, Carrie, Pete, Malinda (Jared) James, Joe Campbell, Amy (Derrick) Fischer, Opie (Lynn) Rohrer, John (Kelly) Haines, Jennifer (Nathan) Adkins, Lindsay Haines, Tiffany (Donny) Siegel, William Breneman, Kim Breneman, Great Grandchildren, Jake and Jessi Campbell, Kelsey Campbell and Kody Owsley, Daniel Campbell, Braden Fischer, Gracie and Briar Rohrer, Wyatt Haines, Morgyn, Mason and Madison Siegel, and many loving relatives and friends. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 pm Friday at the Hilliard Church of Christ, 4300 Avery Rd., Hilliard; where funeral service will be held 10 am Saturday with Ministers Danny Vanscoy and Pastor Bill Webb officiating.
