Melissa Jean Vermillion, age 43, of Galloway, passed away suddenly January 28, 2017. She was born on April 6, 1973 in Lima, Ohio to Phillip L. Sr. and Bonnie J. Vermillion. Melissa graduated from Wilmington High School and earned her Bachelor’s degree from Miami University. She later earned her Master’s degree from Tiffin University. Melissa worked for the Department of Public Safety as the Chief investigator for the EMS division. Melissa is preceded in death by her father Phillip L. Vermillion , Sr. Melissa is survived by her mother Bonnie J. Vermillion, brother Phillip L. (Melissa) Vermillion Jr. and her only niece Hannah Vermillion; who was her pride and joy along with aunts, uncles and cousins. She leaves behind her two Rottweiler boys, Brutus and Duke, who she loved dearly. She was devoted to Rottweiler Rescue along with numerous cancer causes. She was a giving person who would do anything for anyone. She was an avid Buckeye fan and loved to spend fall Saturday’s tailgating with her friends and cheering on the Bucks in the horseshoe.
