Mendel W. Lewis, age 91, of Hilliard, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011.Retired from National Electric Coil after 31 years of service; member of Luther B. Turner #732 Masonic Lodge for over 60 years; founding member of Upper Arlington Civic Orchestra; violinist for Hilliard Arts Council. Preceded in death by loving wife, Mary; second wife, Helen; grandson, Capt. Steven Lewis. Survived by children, Wayne (Edna) Lewis, William (Patty) Lewis, Richard Lewis, Tom (Susan) Lewis, Mary (David) Naille, and Emily (Steve) Signoracci; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8PM at THE TIDD FUNERAL HOME 5265 Norwich St. Hilliard, OH 43026 where a funeral service will take place Thursday at 10AM. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The Capt. Steven Lewis Memorial Scholarship Fund South Central Local Schools 3305 Greenwich-Angling Rd. Greenwich, OH 44837. A Masonic Service will take place at 8PM Wednesday evening immediately following calling hours.
