Michael C. Gallup

Michael C. Gallup 86 of Plain City passed on Dec. 19, 2018. He was born Sept. 13, 1932 in Dubois, PA to Michael C. and Eilene (Dougherty) Gallup who preceded him in death. Michael is survived by daughters Sharon (Jonas) Gingerich, and Sue Lee, and son James (Michele) Gallup. He had 22 grandchildren, and many great and great great grandchildren, with 1 grandchild preceding him in death. A sister Nancy Smith and brother Eugene also survive. He was also preceded by his wife of 57 years Mary Ann, sons Michael, Shane, John and a daughter Theresa.

Michael was a Veteran of the Korean war and served in the Army, Navy, and the National Guard. He was active in the VFW and volunteered for 40 years at the Veterans Hospital in Chillicothe.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 Thursday Dec. 27, 2018 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Plain City with a mass at 11:30, burial will follow in Forest Grove Cemetery in Plain City with Military Graveside honors. The family was assisted by the Tidd Family Funeral Home Hilliard, OH.
