To My Son,
All that's left is a memory
An image in my eye of what used to be
Your newborn hair, first steps and twinkling eyes
Your first birthday surprise
So many things I didn't get to tell you
So much more I wanted to hold you
And yet,
It wasn't meant to be
And that's okay
Because you've given me more than I could've asked for
Loving son, loyal brother, dear husband, doting uncle, trusted friend, wonderful nephew
Rest now knowing your light will continue to shine through
Cherished by your family and friends who knew you
Until we meet again
Just know how much I love you
