Michael Jacobs

Michael E. Jacobs, age 74, of Columbus, passed January 24, 2021. Graduate of Marion Harding High School Class of 1964. US Army Veteran serving in Vietnam. Michael worked for Erie R.R. and Conrail R.R. for 23 years. He graduated from Columbus State and retired from Columbus State in the IT Department. Mike was an avid runner, enjoyed going to the gym and loved spending time with his family; especially his grand kids. Preceded in death by parents Clarence and Lucile Jacobs. Survived by loving wife of 40 years, Diane, sisters Ann (Robert) Scott and Rebecca Jacobs, step daughters Michelle Johnson, Renee (Derek) Paxton and Melinda Glenn, 14 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, numerous loving relatives and friends. Following Mike’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Arrangements completed by the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Hilliard, OH.
