Michael Keller

Michael Rex Keller, 74, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on December 20, 2023. Born on December 11, 1949, in Ironton, Ohio, Mike was a devoted and adoring husband, a kind and supportive brother, a fun-loving uncle, and a friend to everyone he met. Guided by faith, honesty, and strong values, he touched the lives of many.

Mike had a successful career spanning over 43 years as a consultant to the financial institution industry. He began his journey as an examiner of financial institutions for the State of Ohio and went on to establish his own consulting firm, Keller & Company, in 1985.

Educated at Wooster College, Mike earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. He further pursued his passion for banking and business by obtaining an MBA in Finance from The Ohio State University.

Outside of his professional life, Mike enjoyed various hobbies. In his younger days, he was an avid tennis player and also found joy in playing golf. However, it was the shared love for travel with his beloved wife, Sandy, that truly enriched his life and created cherished memories.

Mike’s presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever be treasured by his devoted wife, Sandy Keller; his sister Hortense (Kelly) Doyle and husband Fred; cousin Emily Maxwell; brother and sister in laws Jack and Norma Moore and Linda Moore nephews Bryan/Amy and Matthew/Hien Doyle, Todd/Connie and Thad/Karen Moore, TJ/Sarah and Scott/Tracey Thomas; and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rex and Evelyn Keller, who undoubtedly greeted him with open arms upon his arrival in heaven.

A celebration of Mike’s life will be held at a future date. The obituary will be updated when the Celebration of Life is planned.
