Michael Lutz

Michael Stephen Lutz, age 22, passed away December 29, 2009. Born in Columbus, OH on Dec. 24 1987. He was the beloved son of Greg Lutz and Cynthia Hoepker. He is survived by his siblings; Bryan, Shawn, and Alana; his parents and stepfather Gene Hoepker, grandmother Grace Lutz; grandparents, George Davis and Dolly Heim; the Francis family, and nearly countless aunts, uncles, and cousins. Michael was a former member of the Hilliard Darby Choir and a valued team member of the Best Buy in the Polaris shopping center. His passing leaves an immense ache in the hearts of all that knew him. Michael will be remembered for his humility, his desire to help others, his devotion to both his friends and family, and a chivalric spirit that added to his charm. Michael was a model for selflessness. He was the first to offer a lady his coat in the cold and he owned a coat solely for this purpose. Michael was the first to defend the underdog in a fight. He was the first to offer a hand to someone in need. He was eager to prove that he was both the strongest and the most determined. The worst part of this tragedy is that Michael had nothing to prove to any of us. We all love him and will miss him terribly. Friends may call Saturday from 3:30 to 6:30 pm at THE TIDD FUNERAL HOME 5265 Norwich St. Hilliard, OH 43026 where a funeral service will take place at 6:30 pm.
