Michael Louis Snelling

Michael Louis Snelling, age 71 of Galloway, OH, was born in Columbus, OH on November 26, 1950 to Louis and Maggie (Harber) Snelling. He went home to be with the Lord, suddenly, on Thursday July 14, 2022 at Doctors West Hospital.

A former employee of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Central Ohio Transit Authority, Mike currently was employed by Harris Dental Labs. Mike was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Potters Lodge #540, F.&A.M. of Ohio. He was an avid hunter and out-doorsman who enjoyed spending as much time as possible at his cabin in Morgan County, Ohio. He was also a lifelong, loyal and enthusiastic Ohio State Buckeye fan! 

He was preceded in death by father Louis Snelling, mother Maggie (Harber) Snelling, Sister, Sandra Wroten, father-in-law Clyde W. Thompson, mother-in-law Ada (Prince) Thompson, brothers-in-law Clyde William Thompson Jr. and Rick Henderson, sister-in-law Patty Schofield. 

Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Elizabeth (Thompson) Snelling, son, Michael D. Snelling, brothers Leroy Schofield, Steve (Jeanie) Snelling. Step-children John (Julie) Wahlenmaier, Amy (Andy) Myers, Jason (Angie) Wahlenmaier, Dolores Wearing, Ken (Tina) Ball. Brothers-in-law Luther Wroten, Robert (Grace) Thompson, David (Norsie) Thompson. Sisters-in-law JoAn (Larry) Camp, Rosemary Henderson. Beloved PaPaw to Tim, Brittany (Larry), Dillon, Robin, Drew, Matt, Drayton, Kaida, Trinity, Kali, Codey, Dylan and his Great-grandchildren Mallory, Maverick, Westyn and Jamison. Lifelong friend Gary Jones, close family friend Michael Matthews. Numerous loving nieces and nephews.  Mike will be sadly missed by his devoted dog, Rosie.
