Mildred Alice Layne, age 68, of Hilliard, Friday, November 7, 2008 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital. Retired from O.S.U. Hospital. Preceded in death by parents Clarence and Gladys Yeatts. Survived by loving husband of 50 years, Jim; daughters, Betty Darlene (Terry) Reed of Columbus, Patricia Gail (Lance) Perkins of Columbus and Melissa Jane Layne of Columbus; sisters, Janice Ward of OK, Elizabeth Greeson of NC, and Virginia (Raymond) McDaniel of VA; 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and 2 unborn great grandchildren; nieces, nephews; and a host of friends. Friends may call 5-8 p.m., Sunday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, where funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Monday with pastor Johnny Newsome officiating.
