LEACH Mildred Ann Leach, age 98 of Mt. Sterling died Thursday, July 15, 2010 in St. Catherine’s Care Center in Washington C.H. She was born Dec. 8, 1911 in Quincy, Illinois. Daughter of the late Charles and Clara (Vollrath) Stuckert.
Mrs. Leach retired from Orient State; member of First United Methodist Church in Mt. Sterling; U.M.W.; Rebecca Circle; Foster Grandparent Program.
She was preceded in death by husband Ralph L. Leach; brothers Robert and Loren Stuckert; sisters Esther McGath and Dorothy Adams.
Survived by daughter, Patricia A. Turnbull of Columbus; sons & daughters-in-law, John E. & Janice Leach of Mt. Sterling, Roger L. & Jean Leach of Rotonda, FL.; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great, great granddaughter; sister, Grace Allen Nicely of Wilmington; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Michael Berne officiating with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, July 19, 2010 from 5 – 8 p.m.
Family suggest memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Fayette County or First United Methodist Church.
