Mildred Irene Morgan, age 86, of Five Points, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was born on September 18, 1930 to Herschel and Eva (Brigner) Long. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Paul Long and Eldon Long, infant baby brother, sister Florence Long, brother-in-law Dwight Reid and sister-in-law Margueriete Long. Mildred graduated from Monroe High School in 1948. She was a member of the Five Points United Methodist Church, Harrisburg Senior Citizens and Pickaway Senior Center. She was a 50 year member of Star Grange, and retired after 33 years as a cook at Monroe Elementary in the Westfall School District. Mildred loved her flower gardens and working word search puzzles. She loved playing euchre with her family and occasionally let them win. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert “Bob”, daughter Nancy (John) Looney, sons Ned (Melanie) Morgan and Bruce (Cindy) Morgan, 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, sister Ruth Reid, sister-in-law Lois Long, nieces, nephews and many friends. The viewing will be held at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 West Main Street, Mt. Sterling, OH 43143 (740)-869-277 from 4:00-7:00p.m. WEDNESDAY and the Funeral Service will be held at 11:00a.m. THURSDAY, December 28, 2016. Burial will follow the service at Pleasant Cemetery, Mt.
