Monica Carfrey passed away Sunday, November 7th after a brief fight with breast cancer. Monica was born September 26th, 1976 in Monogahela, PA.
After graduating from Ringgold High School, Monica attended and graduated from Mount Carmel School of Nursing and went on to work at the OSU Medical Center, Callibra Inc.
and most recently for Red Capital Group. Monica was the ultimate fighter, having fought Crohn’s disease and epilepsy. Through it all, she maintained a positive outlook on life
with a vivacious smile that will forever be missed.
Monica was preceded in death by maternal grandmother Margaret Woodburn and paternal grandparents Larry and Margaret Harrison.
Monica is survived by her husband, Heath Carfrey of Grove City, parents Lawrence and Donna Harrison of Donora, PA, brother Jeff (Toni) Harrison of Monessen, PA, maternal
grandfather William Woodburn, mother and father-in-law Gene (Carol) Carfrey of Auburndale, FL, sister-in-law Heather (Walt) Rice of Mt. Sterling, special friends Colin (Jeanna)
Kaide of Dublin and Michelle Kuch of Mentor on the Lake along with numerous aunts, nieces and nephews. Not to be forgotten is “Baby” Jack, her Lab mix.
A Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 West Main St., Mt. Sterling, OH., 43143. Rev. Dortha Ross
officiating with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Sterling. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 9, 2010 from 4 – 8 p.m.
