The Rev. Nancy Jean Conway passed away with her children by her side on February 28, 2017 in Dublin, OH. She was born in Dedham, Massachusetts in 1933 to Eleanor Motte and Walter Motte. Nancy was the first in her family to attend college, graduating from the University of Massachusetts with a BS in Microbiology. She married Richard Conway, raised a family in Charleston, WV, and went on to obtain two Master’s degrees including a degree from Virginia Theological Seminary. She was ordained as an Episcopal priest in 1993 and served parishes in Williamsport and Jersey Shore Pennsylvania. After retiring to Lake Keowee she served as a part time staff member at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Clemson, SC. Nancy is survived by sister Marie Savage of Columbia, SC; daughter Dianne (Steven) Clay of Hilliard; son David (Susan) Conway of Houston, TX; grandchildren Jennifer (Philip Tan) Clay, Elizabeth Clay, Ashley Conway, and Miles Conway; and great-granddaughter Marion Tan Clay. Throughout her life Nancy made a positive difference in the lives she touched. A service to celebrate her life, followed by a reception for family and friends, will be held on March 11 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church, 7121 Muirfield Drive, Dublin, Ohio.
