Nellie Mae Cruze

Nellie Mae Cruze, age 92, went Home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 10, 2016. Born June 25, 1924 in Knoxville, TN to the late Charlie and Myrtle Maples. Preceded in death by son, Carl "Gooch" Vernon Cruze. Survived by husband of 73 years, Vernon Cruze; daughters, Kathy Stringfield and Jeannie Cawood; sister, Maxine Flynn; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Graveside committal service will be held 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 W. 3rd St., Dayton, OH 45428. Memorial donations in Nellie's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Arrangements with the Tidd Family Funeral Home.
