Neva Margaret Mahoney, age 86, of Hilliard, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 from complication of Alzheimer’s disease. Neva was born and raised in Rochester, Minnesota. Member of St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church. Neva’s life focused on her husband, children and grandchildren. She was always there for them, she was always patient and kind with an easy disposition, good sense of humor and a positive attitude. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by parents Joseph and Eudora Kappler, son Michael John Mahoney and sister Marie McQuarrie. Survived by loving husband of 65 years John, daughters Debbie (Harold) Mahoney and Karen Kloss, brother Joey Kappler, grandchildren Lisa, Kathryn (Kevin), Zachary, Sean, John and Patrick and great grandsons Benjamin and William and daughter-in-law Emily Herbert. Family will receive friends 4-7 pm Wednesday at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026. Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 am Thursday at St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church, 4775 Dublin Rd., Hilliard, OH 43026 with Father Bob Penhallurick Celebrant. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery. The family would like to honor and recognize the wonderful care Neva received by the care givers at Our Family Home for the last 6 years. We know she was loved and will be grieved by them.
