Norabelle Louise (Hays) Depugh, 88, of 15950 Yankeetown-Chenoweth Rd., Mt. Sterling died Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 11:35 a.m. at Court House Manor in Washington C.H.
where she had been a resident since April 28, 2010.
Mrs. Depugh was born June 4, 1921 in Pike County to Charles Lee Hays and Delscinnia (Mossbarger) Hays. She lived the majority of her life in Madison County as a farm wife and homemaker. Mrs. Depugh was a dedicated member of the Mt. Sterling First Church of the Nazarene for 45 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles of 55 years whom she married May 21, 1941, one brother Benny Hays, four sisters Zelma Hays, Hazel DeBarr, Irene Knox, and Edith Conley.
She is survived by three sons and one daughter; Gary (Louise) Depugh, Neil (Harriette) Depugh, Rodger (Joyce) Depugh all of Mt. Sterling and Karen (Dan) Sowers of Washington C.H.; 14 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren; sister Mabel Duvall of Washington C.H.; niece Viola Cozad with many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 3, 2010 from 4 – 8 p.m. at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. A Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 4, 2010 at the Mt. Sterling First Church of the Nazarene located at 226 N. Market Street. Rev. Ron Reynolds and Rev. Dortha Ross officiating with the interment following in Range Township Cemetery in Sedalia.
