Norbert Gene Ward

Norbert Gene Ward, age 72, of Hilliard, passed away Friday, September 19, 2008 at home. An Air Force veteran of the Korean War, he retired from Conrail railroad and was member of Hilliard American Legion post #614. Preceded in death by parents, Norbert and Margorie Ward. Survived by loving wife of 51 years, Patty; children, Rebecca (Mike) McFarland, David (Yvonne) Ward, Niels Ward, Mary Miller, and Elizabeth Ann (James) Quarendillo; grandchildren, George Miller, Erik J. Ward, Patricia Collins, Jackie Collins and Angelica Quarendillo; great-grandson, Jacob Miller; brother, James U. Ward; sister, Kathryn Lee; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Friends may call 5-8 PM Sunday at THE TIDD FUNERAL HOME 5265 Norwich St. in Hilliard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Monday at St. Margaret of Corotona Church 1600 N. Hague Ave. Columbus, Father Lang celebrant. Entombment at Union Cemetery.
