Norma Ruth Graham

Norma Ruth Faulkner Graham passed away peacefully at her residence in Logan, Utah on August 15, 2011. She will return to Columbus, Ohio, for burial next to Clarence, her husband of 38 years. Ruth was the 7th child born to Thomas J. and Ida M. Grashel Faulkner on September 25, 1919 in Oak Hill, Jackson County, Ohio. She spent her childhood there and graduated high school in 1937. The same year she entered White Cross Hospital School of Nursing in Columbus, Ohio and in 1940 she graduated as a licensed registered nurse. Most of her life was spent practicing her profession. In 1941 she was united in marriage with Clarence Graham of Columbus, Ohio, and from this union was born 3 children. Ruth was an active member of the Hilliard United Methodist Church Dorcas circle, White Cross Hospital Alumni Association, and the Ohio Geriatric Nurses Association. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Clarence, parents Thomas and Ida Faulkner, infant brothers Roger Thomas and John Howard Faulkner, sister Freda Hollback (Roy), brother Truman Faulkner (Myrtle), sister Hallie Morgan (Wendell) all of Oak Hill, Ohio, sister Dorothy North of Springfield, Ohio, and daughter-in-law Joan Ann Graham (Norman) of Grove City, Ohio. She is survived by 3 children: Norman Graham of Grove City, Ohio, Elaine Hoover (Dan) of Kissimmee, Florida, and Thomas Graham (Kimberly) of Logan, Utah. There are 5 grandchildren: Tammy Charles and Amy Daugherty of Grove City, Ohio, and Elizabeth Giles (Chad), Ian Graham, and Samantha Graham of Logan, Utah. There are 5 great-grandchildren: McKenzie and Landon (Tammy), Brianna, Carter, and Conner (Amy) all of Grove City, Ohio. Also surviving are dear nieces Judy Morgan and Nancy Meek of Pataskala, Ohio, Betty McFann of Oak Hill, Ohio, and nephew Jerry Hollback (Sandy) of Jackson, Ohio, along with several more close relatives in Jackson County, Ohio. Many thanks to the kind and caring staff at Terrace Grove Assisted Living in Logan, Utah where Ruth spent her final years. Family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8 pm at THE TIDD FUNERAL HOME 5265 Norwich St. Hilliard, OH 43026 where a funeral service will be held Monday at 10AM. Interment Sunset Cemetery.
