Norma E. Grener

Norma E. Grener, age 99, of Dublin, passed away July 17, 2012. She was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church Dublin, graduate of Hilliard High School and The Ohio State University, where she received a BS and MA in Education. She retired from the Columbus public schools in 1974; where she served as a teacher and principal for many years. She was a member of AAUW, Delta Kappa Gamma and Pi Lambda Theta. Norma was an avid world traveler and photographer. Her parents Christian and Magdalena, nephew Larry Grener and brother-in-law Melven Rings preceded her in death. Survived by sisters Florence Rings and Mary Louis Grubbs, brother Kermit (Dorothy) Grener, nephews and nieces Barbara Grener, Richard (Bev) Grener, Ted (Maureen) Grener, David (Linda) Grener, James (Debbie) Rings, Jean (Ric) Walker, Cheryl (Stan) Partlow and Cathy (Steve) Armstrong along with a host of close friends and relatives. Family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 pm Friday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026. Funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church, 6135 Rings Rd., Dublin, OH 43016; where family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church Matching Fund. Interment Sunset Cemetery.
