Opal Garnet Clark, age 96, of Galloway (former 60-year Hilliard resident), Wednesday, March 13, 2013. Lifetime member of the Freewill Baptist Church. Preceded in death by loving husband of 60 years, John, daughter, Janet Miller, parents, Vinson and Lucy Jane Ball, brothers, Bert, Tom , Mont, Bill and John, sisters, Fannie, Madge, Bet and Babe. Devoted and nurturing mom; adored by grandchildren who knew her only as “Mamaw”; kind and caring friend to countless; ever faithful to God. A perfect demonstration of selflessness, strength and fortitude that we could only hope to emulate. Her unfaltering love for her family was the beacon that guided her daily, even as she waited patiently to be reunited with her life-long love. Those of us remaining realize how blessed we are to have had her in our lives, and can find great comfort in knowing that she will continue to be our guardian angel in heaven. Survived by son, Jim (Linda) Clark of Galloway; son-in-law David Miller of Amlin; daughters Sue (Wayne) Minton of Latrobe, Pa, Sheryl (Joe) Miller of Columbus; sister-in-law Irene Ball of Urbana; 10 grandchildren, Jeff (Kari) Clark, John Clark, Shelly Miller-Perkins, Sheila (Dave) Staats, Sherry (Jack) Goldsmith, Christopher (Heather) Minton, Jillana (Bob) Brewer, Bethany (Keith) Carlson, Pamala (Brent) Doseck and Jason (Julie) Miller; 20 great-grandchildren, Jennifer, David, Zachary, Cassie, Joshua, Jessica, Lauren, Amber, Seth, Cora, Parker, Johnny, Ryan, Carley, Kevin, Troy, Luke, Joanna, Maddie and Emma; 4 great-great-grandchildren, Kayla, Lexi, Chace and Blake.
