Pam Heyl

Pamela Heyl, age 75, of Johnstown, Ohio, passed away after an unexpected cancer diagnosis.  She was born on May 28, 1948, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Fred H. and Norma J. Heyl.  

Pam was raised in Hilliard, Ohio and was a 1966 graduate of Hilliard High.  Following graduation, she then went on to study at Ohio University, where she graduated in 1970 and eventually became a speech pathologist for Licking Heights Local Schools.  She retired after more than 25 years of service.   

When Pam wasn’t working, she greatly enjoyed the outdoors.  She loved spending her time in her garden, tending to her plants and listening to the birds sing.  Her unconditional generosity and willingness to help anyone who needed it made this world a better place.  She will be greatly missed.

Pamela is preceded in death by her parents, Fred H. and Norma J. Heyl.

She is survived by her children, Benjamin H. Gassman and Justin H. (Leaza Cohen) Gassman, her brother, Fred C. (Jill) Heyl, and her grandchildren, Lucas and Hudson Gassman.
