Patricia “Peachy” Davis, age 66 of West Jefferson, formerly of Mt. Sterling, died Monday, August 15, 2011 in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. She was born November 11, 1944 in Augusta, Indiana. The daughter of the late Thomas and Naomi (Caldwell) Darst.
Peachy has been a lifetime resident of Madison County; she faithfully supported and contributed to Veterans of Foreign Wars, Salvation Army, Feeding the Hungry Missions, and Boys Town. In 2007 she received a letter of recognition for having made the most contributions in 30 years, “Hero of the Year”.
She is survived by husband of 51 years, William Davis; daughter, Lisa Davis of West Jefferson; son Keith & wife Sandy Davis of London; 4 grandchildren Nathaniel Davis, Kyle Sparks, Aaron Sparks, Olivia Davis; great grandchildren Nevaeh, Carter, Serenity, Owen, Cole, & Audrey; brothers Russell Darst of Branson, MO., Billy Darst of Mt. Sterling; sisters Barbara Sowards of Greenfield, Carol Sue Collins and Bonnie Fields, both of Washington C.H.
A Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm on Friday, August 19, 2011 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. The interment will follow in Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation beginning 12:00 Noon until time of service.
