Patricia Head

d. January 10, 2021

Patricia Head, age 92, passed away January 10, 2021. She lived her life as an inspiration to others, facing its challenges and changes with faith, grace and courage. She supported her husband, Richard, with his successful restaurant business in Lorain County, Ohio. From the 1950s to the 1990s, Patricia was by his side in this business — especially when he needed a helping hand.  Patricia and Richard continued to live in Lorain County while raising their four children and operating their restaurant business. They had strong relationships with their extended families and friends. Patricia and Richard loved boating on Lake Erie and Patricia was a great mom; she was an active room mother at school and was also busy arranging transportation to swim team, guitar lessons and the like. If someone needed a special outfit for an occasion, she could "whip" something beautiful up on her sewing machine. She and Richard retired to Florida, where they continued their love of boating — from Lake Erie to the Atlantic Ocean — and where Patricia made time for her other loves: golf, swimming, dancing and art. She achieved what many golfers only dream of — a hole in one — swam nearly 100 laps a day for years, and was an incredible dancer, and later in life Patricia organized dances for her community in Sun City Center, Florida. She was a talented artist and crafter, and many of her friends and family are lucky enough to have one of her pieces adorn their walls. Patricia belonged to the Ohio and Michigan Clubs while living in Kings Point, located in Sun City Center, Florida. She was a Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Sun City Center, Florida Patricia was someone who always soldiered on and had an adventurous spirit — and was often the first one to jump in. She learned to horseback ride and whitewater raft, with trips to the Yukon and Iceland at the young age of 70. She loved to travel, undertaking a 30-day cruise to the Far East, including Russia and China, in her 80s. And she continued to venture north, alone, from her Florida home to be with family at the holidays, making each a cherished event.  More than anything else, Patricia was a wonderful, loving and active mother who adored her four children, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In her final days, Patricia was surrounded with love and the support of her children. She was an inspiration to many —  and she will be missed by all who knew her.  She is survived by her children, Richard (Angela) Head, Deborah (Douglas) Rogers,  Jennifer (Thomas “Mac”) Scofield and Nancy (David) Lukas,  grandchildren Dustin Rogers (Heidie Artieda), Jennifer Rogers, David (Jennifer) Lukas, Daniel (Andrea) Lukas, Kathryn (Joseph) Sevier, Matthew (Wallis) Hamilton and Haley (Gil) Biggers, great-grandchildren, Hannah Lukas, Olivia Biggers, Emery Biggers, Kaleb Lukas, Addilyn Lukas, Ellianna Lukas, Lukas Sevier and Levi Sevier A memorial and service to be held at a later date. Cemetery will be Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made in Patricia's name to ones favorite charity.
