Paul E. Caudy, 82 of Mt. Sterling, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 in St. Catherine's Manor, Washington Court House. He was born Sept. 2, 1934 in Pickaway County, Ohio. Paul had retired from Duponte having been employed for over 30 years; he enjoyed being a volunteer of Mt. Sterling Fire Dept.; Auxiallry Police Dept.; Official morning coffee maker of Ben & Joy's Restaurant; shoveled snow with his small John Deere Tractor; had a lawn mower repair business, an avid Buckeye Fan; he also loved farming for his family.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Florence (Ingram) Caudy; brothers Russell, Daryl, and Francis Caudy.
He is survived by his loving wife, Bertie; daughters Sherry Cornett, Teresa Caudy; sons Mike and Phil Caudy; Robbie (Rick) Abbott, Jeff Griffith, John (Deb) Griffith, and Rachelle (Jared) Mullins; sister Marjorie Eggleton; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
A Funeral service will be held 1:30 pm on Friday, December 16, 2016 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Dortha Ross, Billy Warner, and Pastor Jeff Griffith officiating with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery. The Circleville Amvets Post #2256 will perform a military service at the graveside for the Army veteran of Korean War. Family will receive friends from 11:30 am until time of service.
