Paul Edward Slyh, age 87, of Grove City, formerly of Hilliard, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021. US Army Veteran of 101st Airborne. Paul was on the Franklin County Fair board for 32 years and a 4H Advisor for many years. He was employed by Marble Cliff Quarry for 17 years and Conklin Corporation for 12 years. Preceded in death by parents Leroy and Bertha Slyh, loving wife of 62 years and 3 days Dorothy (Dottie), son Dean Edward Slyh, brother Kenneth (Marcy), sisters Martha Krieger and Mildred (Harvey) Hunter. Survived by daughter and son-in-law Terry and Steve Whitehead, grandchildren Brandon (Stephanie) Whitehead and Trey (Ally) Whitehead, great grandchildren Mason Fox and Asher Whitehead, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The family would like to give a special thank you to Cathy Jones for all of her help and loving care. Family will receive friends 5-8 pm Wednesday at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will be held 11 am Thursday with Kevin Slyh officiating. Interment Big Darby Cemetery, Plain City, OH.
