Penney Boyer-Burns

Penney Marie Boyer-Burns was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She passed away February 1, 2025, at the age of 47.

Born to Delbert "Butch" and Diana Boyer on August 25, 1977, Penney was the youngest of 3 children. She leaves behind: her brother Charles "Chuck" Boyer with Patty Hysell; her sister Barb (Rick) Beekman; her husband Travis Burns, her 4 children Corey, Codey, Carley, and Chloey; her nieces and nephews; and her 5 grandchildren Caylee, Camreigh, Casyn, Dallas, and Charlotte, who loved their Mimi dearly. Her father Butch preceded her in death.

Penney was a committed Ohio State football and Nascar fan. She really enjoyed Christmas, spending time with her family and friends, and traveling to the Great Smoky Mountains to see her favorite bears in the wild. Penney was often found watching her favorite shows, Little House on the Prairie and the Peanuts: Charlie Brown specials.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Hilliard Presbyterian Church on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 2 PM. Penney was insistent that her life be celebrated and remembered with fun and happy memories. Reverend Katie Kinnison will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Lung Association or the Arthritis Foundation are requested.
