Peter B. Mash

Peter B. Mash, age 59, of Hilliard, Ohio, passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, April 1, 2017. Born in Marion, Ohio to the late Mary and Harry Mash, Pete was a graduate of Marion Harding High School, Class of 1976. He attended Wooster College on a football scholarship and, after transferring to The Ohio State University, graduated with a Bachelor of Science, History degree. A 32-year state of Ohio employee, Pete was currently working at the Ohio Attorney General’s Office. In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his sister, Dr. Melissa Mash. Pete is survived by his wife of nearly 27 years, Kim Mash, his son and daughter-in-law Nathan E.H. and Haley Mash, of Grove City, Ohio, his daughter Mackenzie M. Mash of Hilliard, grandson Cooper Coleman, father-in-law and mother-in-law Edwin and Beverly School of Pittsburgh, PA, sisters-in-law Sheree (Ricky) Dilucente and Tara (Jim) Pike both of Pittsburgh, his niece and nephews Demetri and Roman Dilucente and Sabastian and Adelaide Pike, and his many, many friends. Pete was the total sports enthusiast. He coached all of his children’s sports teams and attended each of their games, traveling as a family to many states. He loved to sail on his sailboat on Treasure Lake in DuBois, PA. He enjoyed woodworking and making his home furniture. Pete loved his family and friends. He loved life and the world and was always smiling. Pete was a huge fan of The Ohio State University, Columbus Blue Jackets and Cincinnati Bengals. He loved all sports and ironically, just won this year’s NCAA basketball pool. Pete, you will be missed!
