Philip Imler

Philip Imler, age 63, of Galloway, passed away June 9, 2015. Philip started auxiliary for West Jefferson Police Department on March 19, 1984 and graduated from The Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy in 1985. He started July 1988 on the West Jefferson Police Department and was promoted to Sergeant June 19, 1997. Philip retired from West Jefferson Police Department on November 2, 2001 and became a dispatcher for West Jefferson on January 24, 2002 and retired from dispatching on December 30, 2013. Philip was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Preceded in death by parents Jack and Dorothy (Laack) Imler. Survived by loving wife Debra, sons Aaron and Craig, siblings Dennis, Curt and Scott Imler, grandchildren Lauryn, Evan, Izabella, Carter and Brody, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Family will receive friends Saturday 12-1 pm at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where a memorial service will follow at 1 pm.
