Ralph Gerald Martin

Ralph Gerald Martin, age 77, went home to be with his Lord on December 18, 2024.  He died at home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Columbus, OH on October 5, 1947.  Son of the late Leo and Rosemary Martin and late biological father, Ralph Burrus. He worked at Columbia Gas of Ohio as a research technician and was also a salesman for Bobby Layman Chevrolet and Bobb Chevrolet. Ralph was a member of the Immaculate Heart of the The Blessed Virgin Mary parish.  

He is survived by his loving wife, Denise, his children Jamie Kubar, Jeni Martin, grandson AJ Kubar, brothers Gerre (Brooke) Martin, Allen (Linda) Martin, Mark (Kim) Martin, Brian (Debbie) Martin, brother-in-law Larry (Sally) McArthur, brother-in-law Dick Grube, sister-in-law Patti McArthur, his uncle Tom (Norma) Cunningham, special friends, Dennis and Naomi Abdon and family and many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by sister Connie Grube, nephews Jordan Keith Martin, Sean Martin, niece Lindsey Swartz and uncle Jerry Cunningham and aunt Janet Schwab.  

Ralph was a master storyteller and had a story for everything under the sun.  He also had a great sense of humor.  Throughout the years he enjoyed bowling, softball, golfing, restoring 1940 era radios, growing beautiful roses and photography.  We enjoyed traveling to many places as a family and as a couple.  Our favorite thing to do was to take our grandson, AJ, to Camp Rajon Rondo basketball camp in Kentucky for a week every year.  He adored, loved and spoiled AJ.  They loved watching football and basketball together

Family will receive friends from 2:30pm-4:30pm Thursday, January 9, 2025 at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026. Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30am Friday, January 10, 2025 at Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 5170 Winchester Southern Road NW, Canal Winchester, OH 43110.
