Rev. Eligh Howard Sr.

Reverend Eligh Howard Sr., age 69, of Shawnee Hills went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 10, 2008. He passed away at his home surrounded by his loved ones Preceded in death by his daughter Loranne Howard; great grandson Woody Dylan Delong; his mother and father Monnie and John Howard; sister and brother-in-law, Loranne and Marvin Gullet; brother and sister-in-law, James and Joy Howard; brothers, John Jr., Robert, and Ernest Howard. He was a longtime member of Hayden Enterprise Baptist Church where he was a minister, member of URANIA F.& A.M. and retired as a truck driver from Kroger. He is survived by loving wife of 52 years, Peggy Howard; daughter, Margaret Hicks of Plain City; sons and daughters-in-law, Eli (Michelle) Howard of Plain City and Rev. Roger (Mary) Howard of Plain City; grandchildren, Misty and Gary Ray Hicks, Crystal and John Braithwaite, Payton, Sean and Catherine Howard, Melinda and Michael Mason; great grandchildren, Kaylynn Delong, John Owen Braithwaite and Cierra Clark; brother and sister-in-law, Jarvie (Rhonda) Howard of TN; and sister-in-law Mandy Howard. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8pm Thursday at THE TIDD FUNERAL HOME 5265 Norwich St. Hilliard. A Masonic service will be held at 8pm. A funeral service will be held 11am Friday at Hayden Enterprise Baptist Church 6729 Hayden Run Rd. Amlin, OH 43002. Interment Forest Grove Cemetery. Loved by many family, friends, and brothers and sisters in the Lord. He will be sadly missed by all!
