Richard A. Berthold

Richard was born on September 18th 1943 in East Orange New Jersey. Was a 1961 graduate of Scotch Plains Fanwood High School. In 1965 graduated from Princeton University as well as 1966 graduate of Harvard University with degrees in Mathematics. Worked in Software development for his entire career. Computers were just starting and he taught himself computer programming. Worked for Multicomp, Cortex, Attunity and VBOS. 

He was a Member of Vineyard at Tuttle crossing. He was a lifelong sports fan, which started by rooting for all the New York teams. After he moved to Columbus he gave in to peer pressure and became an OSU fan. 

He is preceded in death by parents Ruth and Walter H Berthold, half sister Margaret (Spot) Barrs, and half brother Walter H Berthold. Niece Valerie Omara. 

Survived by wife Cindy Berthold, stepson Brian(Marnelli) Schlicher, David (Yvonne) Schlicher and Matthew (Alyssa) Schlicher. Grandchildren Coraline, Emma, Abby, Lyra, Matthew, Samantha, Mia, Bowen and Felix. Several nieces and a nephew.
