Richard N. DelBoccio, USAF, Ret., (aged 75), passed away April 6, 2019, was the son of Patrick and Livia (DiPiero) DelBoccio, born on July 23, 1943 in Blue Island, Illinois and raised Girard, Ohio. Richard is survived by his love and wife of 52 years Shirley (Pelleschi) DelBoccio, who remains his best friend; his two (2) beloved sons who cherished their Dad's patience and guidance and daughters-in-law that he adored Todd/Patty (Nolasco) DelBoccio, and David/ Insaf (AlRabadi) DelBoccio; and most endearingly his six (6) grandchildren Marissa, Breonna, Dominic, Evelina, Rosalina and Angelo who enjoyed "Pappa D's" tenderness and affection; his sister Jeannette Clouse of Port Richey, Florida; his mother Livia and brother Edward DelBoccio of Girard, Ohio; a brother-in-law Maxmillan/Marie Pelleschi and sisters-in-law Patricia DiFrangia and Rachel/Ron Hill, plus dozens of nephews and nieces, many of which had sought out their Uncle's knowledge and advice. Mr DelBoccio is preceded in death by his father, Patrick DelBoccio and brother Gerald (Jerry) DelBoccio. Richard was an avid billiards/pool player, known as "Hawkeye" for his skills, winning tournaments from Ohio to Florida. Mr. DelBoccio served eight (8) years in the United States Air Force. He was an integral part of two (2) missions commemorated in the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force at Wright-Patterson AFB. Mr. DelBoccio retired after 30 years from Delphi Plant 11 in Warren. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered. Family will receive friends Thursday 4-7 pm at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME WITH CREMATORY, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026. Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday 10:30 am at St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church, 4475 Dublin Rd., Hilliard, OH 43026.
