Richard B. Dickinson, age 84, passed away peacefully Saturday February 27, 2016 at Carriage Court in Hilliard, OH with his family at his bedside. He was born in Newark, OH. Preceded in death by parents Bishop and Marian (Montgomery) Dickinson, brother Addison and his son-in-law Mikel Robinette. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and was in the 2nd Infantry Division in Korea and the 43rd Infantry Division in Germany. His greatest joy was traveling to Washington D.C with other veterans as part of The Honor Flight. He belonged to the Korean War Veterans Assoc. Chapter 116 and the West Jefferson, OH VFW Post 7005. Rich was an offset plate maker and retired from National Graphics after 40 years. He also worked part time for Enterprise after his retirement. He was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed biking, walking, and outdoor life. Rich is survived by his daughter Peg Robinette, sons Daniel (Marcia) Dickinson, Roger Dickinson, former wife Angela Dickinson, six grandchildren Brian Ezzo, Matt (Masami) Ezzo, Kelly (Scott) Saltsman, Molly Dickinson, Tyler and Trevor Dickinson, nieces Joyce and Amy Dickinson, and nephew Addison Dickinson. Family will receive friends 4-6 pm Wednesday at the Tidd Family Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich St. Hilliard, OH 43026, where a celebration of life service will follow at 6pm. Following Richard’s wishes cremation has taken place. Graveside inurnment will take place 11 am Thursday at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Newark, OH, with Military Honors. Family would like to thank the staff at Mt. Carmel West, Vitas Healthcare (Hospice), Carriage Court, and Mill Run Gardens for the care given to Rich during his illness.
