Richard Roberts

Richard Roberts, age 78, of Hilliard, passed away June 3, 2011. Member of Avery Lodge #493 F&A.M. and Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Norwich #385 and a past PDDGM. Former member of Hilliard Optimist Club and affiliated with other Hilliard sports organizations. Retired from O.S.U Architect/Engineering Department. Served as a Construction Consultant for the City of Hilliard for over 10 years. Army Veteran of Korean War. Preceded in death by parents Herbert J. Roberts and Goldie Mae Roberts, sister Jackie Glancy, brother-in-law Robert Glancy and sister-in-law Mary Ellen Roberts. Survived by loving wife of 57 years Carol Sue “Suzie” Roberts, children Ed (Lori) Roberts of Hilliard, Tim (Teri) Roberts of Hilliard and Laura Roberts of Hilliard, brother Allan Roberts of Columbus, grandchildren Nichole, Adam, Erin and Andy Roberts, Tyler Pickrell all of Hilliard, sister-in-law Charlotte Nestor of Parkersburg, WV, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Family will receive friends 5-8 pm Monday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will be held 1 pm Tuesday with 1 hour of visitation prior to the time of service. Pastor Tom Knauff officiating. Masonic service will be held 8 pm Monday. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Carmel Hospice, The American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
