Richard Smith

Richard "Dick" Smith, age 64, of West Jefferson, Monday, October 6, 2008. Preceded in death by parents Dorsey and Margaret Smith. Dick was employed by Honda. Member of Avery Lodge F&AM #493, Hilliard Moose Lodge #2236. He was an avid visitor at Rooster's on West Broad St. Dick also enjoyed being a small plane pilot, camping, the all outdoors and most of all spending time with his grandchildren and family. Survived by loving wife of 15 years, Arlene; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Ward Weber Jr. of West Jefferson; son, Jeffery Smith and his partner, Stevo Roksandic of Columbus; daughter, Heather Holloway of West Jefferson; brother, Robert Smith of Cold Springs, Ky.; best friend, Bill Otis of Grove City; former wife, Nancy Smith of Dublin; 5 grandchildren, Heidi, Olivia, Andrew, Jacob and Korbin; numerous relatives and a host of friends. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday. Interment Hampton Cemetery, West Jefferson. Masonic service by Avery Lodge will be held 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
