Richard “Tim” Tackett, 47, of Hilliard, passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 16, 2011. He was born October 27, 1963 to Rev. Roy and Gladys Tackett. He was a lifelong Hilliard resident who never knew a stranger and had a positive effect on so many lives that he touched. He was employed by the Hilliard Post Office for over 26 years. He will truly be missed. Tim was very involved in the community, from playing little league baseball with the Colts at a young age to one of the best athletes at Hilliard High School; where he graduated in 1982. He was also the JV baseball coach for Davidson High School 2000-2002. Tim was also a huge Ohio State and Yankee fan. Preceded in death by father Rev. Roy and brother Roger. Survived by the love of his life for 20 years, Kym, son Cameron who is truly his pride and joy, loving mother Gladys, brother Rod (Sherry) Tackett, sisters Cheryl (Rick) McVay and Teresa (Floyd) Daniels, father-in-law and mother-in-law Archie and Sharon Armentrout, sister-in-law Donna (Nick) Huntzinger and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank the community and loving neighbors for their outpouring of love, support and generosity. The world has lost an amazing son, husband, father, brother and friend. Family will receive friends Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026. Funeral service will be held 1 pm Friday at Hilliard Church of Christ, 4300 Avery Rd., Hilliard, OH 43026. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Tim’s co-workers and friends have set up a memorial fund in Cameron’s name at any Firstmerit Bank or mailed to 1 East Main St., West Jefferson, OH 43162. Please write Richard T.
