Robert L. “Bob” Baker, age 83, of Columbus, Ohio, went to meet his Lord and Savior on Monday, July 24, 2017. Born in Columbus to the late Marvin and Charlene Baker, he grew up in the Lake Hope, Ohio area. He was veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War. Bob was a graduate of Park University and was a retired accountant with AT&T after 21 years of service. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his in-laws Raymond and Dorothy Herron, brother-in-law Bill Watkins, niece Roxanne Watkins, nephews Doug Perry and Duane Rittenhouse and great-nephew Jacob Detwiler. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Darlene Baker, of Columbus, daughter Kimberly Byers of Columbus, grandson Cody (Tara) Byers of Grandview, and his many adored nieces and nephews. Bob was an avid Ohio State football fan. He was an excellent cook, was a “Foodie” and loved all things BBQ!
