Robert L. Domer, Sr.

Robert L. Domer, Sr., 89, passed away on December 28, 2022, in Columbus, Ohio. Robert (Bob) was born on December 6, 1933, in Dover, Ohio. He proudly served in the US Naval Air Core, during the Korean Conflict. After the Navy, he met and married the love of his life, Dalene (Dee). They were married in a small service in their home town. Bob earned his bachelor’s degree at Bliss College. Bob and Dee raised five (5) children and built a home in Hilliard, Ohio.

Bob was an avid Gardener. He was heavily involved, loved and respected in the Hilliard Community for over 50 years. Some of his involvements include: The Masonic Lodge as a Master Mason, Lions Club, American Legion, Moose Lodge, Hilliard Civil Service (over 30 years), Life member of the Franklin County Historical Society, a member of the Amlin United Methodist Church, Multiple Hilliard parade committees and one of his proudest achievements was becoming a Parade Grand Marshall. Bob’s words were “I’ve lived a good life” and he passed peacefully and in no pain.

He was preceded by his loving wife of 56 years, Dalene Domer. He is survived by sister Bonnie Wilson (Domer); Children: Cindy Imm (Steve), Robert Domer, II, Debbie Walling (Ron), Timothy Domer, Sr. (Carrie) and Jane Domer; Grandchildren: Amber Imm, Devon Imm, Robert Domer III, Gabriella Domer, Tina Domer, Roger Lose (Kayla), Bryon Lose (Sommer), Alysson Jipping (Joey), Jessica Walling, Timothy Domer, II, (Myiah), Lauren Domer, Camryn Domer; Many Nieces/Nephews, Great Nieces/Nephews,and
Great Grandchildren. Rest well beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. You will be sorely missed.

Calling hours will be from 3:00 p.m., to 6:00 p.m., on Monday, January 9, 2023, at Tidd Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, Ohio 43026. During the calling hours there will be a short service from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A celebration of life will take place directly following at the Hilliard Moose Lodge, 5370 Grace Street, Hilliard, Ohio 43026.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association – www.alz.org or Kobacker House  www.ohiohealth.com.>hospice . Bob felt strongly about these two organizations and wanted donations to be made to them in lieu of flowers.

Any and all flowers, per Bob’s request, will be donated at the close of the service to the Amlin Methodist Church. Thank you.
