Robert Evans

Robert Melvin Evans, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2009, retired from Battelle Memorial Institute. Survived by wife, Eileen; daughter Nan Evans and son-in-law Fred Nussbaum of Portland, Oregon; son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Jane of Cambridge, Ohio; grandchildren, Andrew Evans (Sabrina (Chen Wei-chen)) of Denver, Sarah Drawz (Paul) of Cleveland Heights and Betsy Sweet (Jeff) of Denver; great-grandchildren Maggie and Jack Drawz; brothers Dwight of Monterey, TN, and Edgar of Dover, OH; nephews, nieces, and cousins. He was a charter member of The Columbus Rock & Mineral Society and a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. Memorial service will be held 2pm Saturday, March 7, 2009 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 2151 Dorset Rd., Columbus, OH 43221. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mark’s All Saints Fund. Arrangements completed by the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH.
