Robert D. Harvey

Robert D. Harvey, age 78, of Hilliard, Ohio, formerly a long-time resident of Delaware, Ohio, passed away at home on Friday, August 13, 2021.  Born in El Reno, Oklahoma to the late Dr. Walter and Marie Harvey, Bob graduated from Oklahoma State University and Cameron University with a degree in History.  He retired as Supervisor of Social Services of Delaware County, Ohio after many years of dedicated service.  He was a former member of the Columbus Ski Club and was a long-time volunteer at the Memorial Tournament, becoming the first Memorial Tournament “Volunteer Honoree.”  In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his grandson Brayden Hall.  He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janie Harvey, his children: Jennifer (Kelly) Hall, Robert D. Harvey, Jr., Suzy (Bennie) Long and Elizabeth (Michael) Brookover, grandchildren Bentina (Nicholas) Marsh, Darrian Long, Taj Long, Max Brookover, Noah Long, Caleb Hall, Libby Brookover and Jacob Hall, great-granddaughter Parker Marsh, brother Jerry (Sandy) Harvey and sister Donna Williams, and their families, and many friends.  Family will welcome friends from 11:30a.m.-1:00p.m. TUESDAY, AUGUST 17, 2021 at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, OH 43026 (614)-876-1722 where his Funeral Service will follow the visitation and begin at 1:00p.m. TUESDAY.  Burial will follow at Kingwood Memorial Park, Lewis Center, Ohio.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to the James Cancer Hospital, 460 West 10^th Avenue, Columbus, OH 43210 www.cancer.osu.edu.  Please visit www.tiddfuneralservice.com to share your favorite memories of Bob and to send your condolences to the Harvey Family.
