Robert Glenn Laird

Robert Glenn “Bob” Laird, age 50 of Washington C.H. died Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at his residence. He was born June 24, 1960 in Gassaway, West Virginia. He was the son of the late Glenn and Madilee (Barnett) Laird.
Bob was a custodian in the Madison Plains School District last working at Midway Elementary.
Preceded in death by his parents and Uncle Ralph Barnett.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Laird; son Robert “Robbie” Laird; daughter Melissa Laird;
Grandchildren Damon and Grayson Flake; brother Danny Laird of Logan; sister Janie Malagamba of Akron; Aunt Jean Barnett of Columbus.
A visitation will be held Friday, July 16, 2010 from 4 – 7 p.m. at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. At 7:00 p.m. a Funeral service will be held and officiated by Rev. Ronald Hopkins. In keeping with Bob’s wishes, cremation will follow.
Family suggest memorial contributions may be made to the family who would like to submit those donations to the school for purchasing needed supplies or programs for the children.
