Robert Louis Tangeman

Robert Louis Tangeman, aged 90, passed away peacefully on November 12th, 2024. He was born March 5th, 1934 to William G. Tangeman and Anna C. Tangeman in Dayton, OH. 

He was energetic always and had a long career in sales and loved zealous interactions with everyone he met. He earned multiple President’s Club sales awards while at Mead Paper, and kept active after retirement by lectoring at church, serving on The Sunrise Chamber of Commerce, and refinishing antiques via his website well into his 80’s, and caregiving for his wife who could lovingly keep him humble. While in assisted living he had a knack for connecting with staff and fellow residents alike becoming endeared to many. 

He was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis J. Tangeman, brother F. William Tangeman, sister Marliene Sherman, and brother James (Madonna) Tangeman. He is survived by his brother Thomas (Tammy) Tangeman, son Matthew (Jennifer) Tangeman of Hilliard, OH, and Denise Simon of Louisburg, NC, 5 grandchildren Steven (Rebecca) Simon, Christopher Simon, Daniel (Danielle) Simon, Vivienne Tangeman, and Maxwell Tangeman, 2 great grandchildren Emma and Violet Simon, and numerous nieces and nephews.

 Funeral services are to be held January 3rd, 2025 10:30 a.m. at St Brendan the Navigator, 4475 Dublin Rd, Hilliard, OH 43026. Luncheon to follow. Internment with immediate family at a later date.
