Robert Matthews

Robert "Bob" Alan Matthews passed June 10, 2014. Born January 1, 1946. Bob was an avid WWII history buff and later served as treasurer of the Ohio Division of the Confederate Air Force, a society dedicated to the preservation of WWII aircraft. A Vietnam Veteran, Bob served his country in the Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Matthews, Edith (Matthews) and Frank Maerker. He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda; sisters, Sheri (Richard)McMillan and Sandy Matthews; daughters, Marci Webber and Tracy (Tony) Roberts; son, Keith Pinnix; and the love of his life, his 4 granddaughters, Jessica Roberts, Brittany Webber, Ashley Roberts and Cassidy Webber; he also leaves behind his beloved dog, Shelby, as well as many friends and family. Friends may call Friday, June 13, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME 5265 Norwich St. in Hilliard. A graveside committal service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the Glen Rest Memorial Estate, 8029 E. Main St. in Reynoldsburg. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association in his memory.
