Robert A. Montag

Robert A. Montag, age 73, of Plain City, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 8, 2016. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Bob was a graduate of Cincinnati Purcell High School, Class of 1961. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Registered Pharmacist degree and was a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Bob was a long-time pharmacist working with CVS and Kroger Pharmacies. He was a faithful parishioner of St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church and was a member of the 55+ Club. Preceded in death by his father Robert E. Montag, he is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Stephanie E. Montag; his son and daughter-in-law Bryan and Julie Murphy of Plain City; his granddaughters Lauren and Jenna Murphy; his god-daughter Lissa Thomas of Hilliard, Ohio; his mother Esther Montag of Milford, Ohio; his sister and brothers: Judy (Michael) Ehrensberger, Joseph Montag, Charley (Bonnie) Montag and Martin (Polly) Montag, all of the greater Cincinnati area; sister-in-law Marlan Howarth of Columbus, Ohio; and his many nieces and nephews and many good friends. Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00p.m. TUESDAY in Hendricks Hall at ST. BRIGID OF KILDARE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7179 Avery Road, Dublin, Ohio 43017 where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00a.m. WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 14, 2016 with The Reverend Monsignor Joseph M. Hendricks, Celebrant. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Oller Cemetery, Delaware, Ohio.
