Robert Pond

Robert (Joseph) Pond D.D.S., age 79, of Powell, passed away September 5, 2012. Preceded in death by parents and 2 brothers. Survived by loving wife of 48 years Mary Ann, 4 wonderful sons; Robert J. (Tammy) Pond II, Scott C. Pond, Steven C. Pond and Dr. David Wm (Dr. Allison) Pond, beloved grandchildren Christopher, Katie, Emma, Jenny and Sarah, sisters Eulalie, Dalene and Lois along with a host of special loving friends and former patients. He was a cosmetic and family dentist for over 40 years and also worked at The Ohio School for the Deaf for 20 years. He had a career in the military for 30 years where he served as a pilot in the Army Corps of Engineers and later as a dentist for the Army Dental Corps. Robert was a flight instructor for The Ohio State University and Ohio University. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, avid fisherman, carpenter and mechanic. Family will receive friends Sunday 5-8 pm at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 am Monday at St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church, 4475 Dublin Rd., Hilliard, OH 43026. Interment Jerome Cemetery.
