Robert W. South

Robert Wesley South, age 85, passed away peacefully at the Arbors in Hilliard, January 12, 2008. He was a member at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Robert was a graduate of West High School, class of 1940. He served in the United States Coast Guard during WWII and was the owner of Customade Cabinet Shop. Robert was a devoted and loving family man and will be missed by all those lives he touched. Preceded in death by parents Raymond and Anna South, siblings Eileen Smith, Leona Wallace, Norma Cruz, brothers Donald and William South, and in-laws Ralph and Flossie Clements. Survived by loving wife, Virginia of 61 years; daughter, Pamela South; siblings, Marvene Gardner and Wanda Wright; sister-in-law, Donna South; and several nieces, nephews; and a host of friends. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at the Arbors and Vista Care Hospice. The family will receive friends Monday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at THE TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard. Funeral service Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 55 Pasadena Ave., Columbus, OH, with Pastors Matthew Cox and Larry Baker officiating. Burial Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
