Robert W. Stewart Jr.

Robert Stewart, 67, of Columbus, OH, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025. Robert was born on March 5, 1957, and grew up in Hilliard, OH, with his parents, Robert Stewart Sr. and Joan Stewart (Gilroy), and three siblings, Ruth, Dallas, and Connie. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Stewart Sr., and his sister, Connie Stewart. After graduating from Hilliard High School in 1976, he joined the United States Armed Forces and served in active duty and inactive reserves until 1985.

Robert’s life was filled with many loving relationships, including his marriage to his high school sweetheart, Sheri Hennes. Together, they had two beautiful daughters, Joann Anderson (Stewart) and Kimberly Connor (Stewart). In the last ten years, he was blessed with two cherished sons-in-law, James Anderson and Shawn Connor, and three grandchildren he loved very much. In addition to being a thoughtful and caring brother, husband, father, and grandpa, he was honored to be called “Uncle Robbie” by two loving nieces.

Robert had a passion for fishing and spent countless hours enjoying the serenity of the water. He was also an avid fan of home improvement shows, often inspired to take on new projects, that may or may not get finished. Known for his generous spirit, Robert would happily welcome anyone in need, offering a helping hand or a listening ear.

Robert will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family and friends will forever be remembered. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion and joy that will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have been part of his life.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 17, at Hilliard Church of Christ (4300 Avery Road, Hilliard, OH 43026). In lieu of flowers, the family encourages people to perform acts of kindness or volunteer in his memory.
